These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of services provided by Nanda Medical Services Trust (ABN 68 798 496 694), trading as ScriptsAtHome ("we", "us", "our"), through our website www.scriptsathome.com.au ("Website"). By using this Website and our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the services.
ScriptsAtHome is an Australian-based online platform designed for the urgent supply of repeat prescriptions. It is not a substitute for comprehensive medical care or in-person consultations with your general practitioner (GP). It is not intended to provide emergency treatment, mental health support, or first-time prescriptions.
Customers are encouraged to consult their regular GP for ongoing care and use this platform only when an urgent prescription is required, and their GP is unavailable. In the event of a medical emergency, you must call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
Our AHPRA-registered practitioners provide limited remote services, including repeat prescriptions, pathology requests (e.g., blood tests), and STI (Sexually Transmitted Infections) test prescriptions. These services are provided based on patient-provided information and, where consent is given, access to the Personally Controlled Electronic Health Record (PCEHR).
This platform does not provide emergency treatment, first-time prescriptions, physical examinations, mental health crisis care, or comprehensive health assessments. Emergency medical conditions must be managed through hospital or emergency services—call 000 in all urgent or life-threatening situations.
The service is available to adult patients (18 years or older) acting on their own behalf, or to minors where a parent or legal guardian requests the prescription on the minor’s behalf and provides all required information.
By using the platform, you confirm that you will provide accurate, complete, and current information including your full name, Medicare number, date of birth, gender, address, allergy history, past medical history, and current medications. You consent to the practitioner accessing your PCEHR and agree not to register multiple accounts or impersonate others. False or misleading information may result in termination of service.
Once your request is submitted and payment completed, it will be reviewed by a practitioner within 24 hours. The outcome may include prescription approval, a request for more information, or refusal with an explanation. Practitioners exercise independent clinical judgment and may decline to issue a script if a face-to-face consultation is deemed more appropriate. In some cases, you may be contacted directly by the practitioner for clarification.
The fee structure is as follows:
Payment is made securely via a third-party provider (Eway) at the time of request submission. Payment is only deducted if the script is approved. If the request is declined, you will be notified by email, and no charge will be applied.
We manage your personal and health information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy. Your information is used solely for identity verification, accessing the PCEHR, and ensuring safe clinical care. We do not use your data for marketing without your explicit consent.
You are responsible for the security of your login credentials and must notify us immediately at contactus@scriptsathome.com.au if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. You must ensure you have a compatible device and a stable internet connection to access the platform. We are not responsible for delays caused by connectivity issues, system maintenance, or technical interruptions.
All practitioners are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and adhere to its remote prescribing guidelines. They exercise professional discretion, ensure confidentiality, and are obligated to disclose their name and registration number upon request. They may decline prescriptions if it is not clinically appropriate.
ScriptsAtHome is not suitable for managing emergencies such as chest pain, severe bleeding, suspected stroke, or any condition requiring immediate in-person assessment. It is not appropriate for new diagnoses, mental health crises, or complex treatment planning.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the service without notice if you provide false or misleading information, behave abusively or inappropriately, or misuse the platform in any way. Excessive or improper use may also result in deregistration.
We may amend these Terms at any time, and updates will be posted on the Website. Continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms will continue in full force.
By using our Website, you consent to receive communications from us electronically, including via email and platform notifications. These communications meet any legal requirements for written notices.
This platform is accessible across Australia. You must have reliable internet access and a compatible browser or device. We are not liable for service disruptions due to external events, maintenance, or technical faults.
We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to events outside our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, civil disturbances, telecommunication outages, or regulatory interventions.
These Terms do not override your rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss resulting from user errors, third-party service failures, or clinical decisions made by practitioners. Our liability is limited to re-performing the service or refunding the applicable fees.
If a dispute arises, it must be submitted to us in writing. The parties agree to attempt resolution via negotiation or mediation. If unresolved, the dispute will be referred to confidential arbitration in Sydney, New South Wales. These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, and any legal proceedings must be brought within its jurisdiction.
